Hi, everyone! Sorry it’s been a while long while very long while whole eternity and a half since last post. Here’s a bit of an update on things:

In case you aren’t aware, I’m currently a junior in college. It was my goal from the start to major in computer science, but through a series of events I find unnecessary to explain here, I was unable to take any computer science courses my freshman year, and subsequently, last July, I found myself without a college to attend.

Since then I was accepted to Texas State University, where I decided to study. That’s mostly what this post is about.

I am in the middle of my third semester here at Texas State; I am majoring in computer science with a minor in writing. That kind of good news is the stuff one could end a post with. Speaking of which, see ya later!

Nah, just kidding. 😛

The school mascot is the bobcat. There’s a big statue of one in a high-traffic area of the campus, to make sure that no one forgets, I suppose.

Although we have a football team and a big fancy stadium (which was right across the street from my apartment as it happened), I did not make it to a game during the fall semester last year.

Anyway, although my place was technically “on-campus”, I’m still about a mile away from the important stuff like my classes, the dining hall, etc., so I ride a shuttle bus to campus. On weekends or evenings I’ve sometimes walked instead.

I’ve enjoyed Texas State so far. I think I adjusted decently to living away from home, but I always enjoy being back home.

The site theme for the Adventure blog is still a little rough around the edges, but I figured I’d rather have the new Dr. Garlic post out now and do the site polishing later. Old links to the posts on my blog will soon redirect there.
